Gaijin/Robotube Blip Festival Battle of the Brands is imminent!
New York, NY, United States, 12/1/2009
Hey Press Peeps!
As we all know, Blip Festival 2009 is almost upon us, and I thought I'd take this opportunity to let everyone in on a little secret...
The handsome frontman from Robotube Games is going to be collaborating with the Gaijin crew on a little experimental Blip Festival inspired video game project. Here are the rules:
1. Try to make a game in one day while at Blip Festival 2009 all the way over in New York City
2. Drink lots of coffee
3. Release the end product to the public, even if we fail miserably
They are the only rules.
You will live the results.
And for marketing purposes, we're calling this fantastic event the BATTLE OF THE BRANDS! Even though we're collaborating, not battling! And even though we may not even use our existing "brands". It just sounds so cool. And you know what? We can do whatever we want! It's our freakin' deal, so shut up if you feel like it!
We'll each be updating our sties, blogs, twitters, facebookz, etc. In the spirit of being indie, we're flying this plane by the seat of our pants!
Wish us luck.
Love and kisses,
Gaijin/Robotube/Blip

Robotube Games Releases New Memory Puzzle Game 'Zyrx' for iPhone and iPod Touch
Santa Monica, CA, United States, 09/27/2009 - A memory game born from a single illustration strengthens memory and promote cognitive development.
With the release of its newest memory/puzzle game for iPhone and iPod Touch, “Zyrx”, Robotube Games has found that the game is more than just a fun diversion. Zyrx is a game that strengthens memory and promotes cognitive development.
Zyrx challenges players in a unique way by flashing a pattern of dots on a grid for a quick moment, prompting the player to then replicate the same pattern without making errors. The higher the player progresses, the more difficult the game gets by adding different colored dots which require double and triple “taps” to enter.
"Zyrx is a little game born from a single illustration I made in 2002 when I was living in a small apartment in Yokohama, Japan," says Jason Cirillo, Founder and developer at Robotube Games. "After tinkering, fiddling, scraping and re-tooling with the image, Zyrx was born."
A brain surgery patient from Summerville, SC reached out to Robotube Games, "I just played your Zyrx game. I went through several years of cognitive therapy after brain surgery wiped out my short-term memory," he said. "The therapy mainly consisted of pattern and repetition games. After playing Zyrx, I realized that it would be a great cognitive exercise."
The original online version of Zyrx has been a ubiquitous fixture in online arcades for nearly 10 years, and with the release of the iPhone version for only $1.99, iPhone and iPod Touch users can take this improved version on the go.
